  • Well hello out there! I’m excited (and admittedly a little nervous) to share that this is my very first blog post. As a mature student, I’ll be honest: I was out making questionable life choices during the era when blogging really took off, so this is a brand new adventure for me. I’m taking this course to support my current role at work. I’m still fairly new to the position, and the learning curve has been steep, but also incredibly rewarding. What I’ve discovered is that my greatest job satisfaction comes from being innovative and finding creative ways to adapt training tools to meet the needs of each individual. That process of tailoring and problem solving is where I feel most energized. Outside of work, my world is happily ruled by my Cairn Terrier, Finnegan, and his mischievous sidekick, Thumper. And yes, everything you’ve heard about orange cats is true. He is… something else. They keep life interesting, to say the least. I’m excited to begin this journey with you all and see what we discover together.

About This Journey

I will be gaining knowledge to assist in my path to developing training materials for adults in the corporate workspace.

A pristine, matte-finished felt notice board filled with neatly pinned pastel-colored index cards, each displaying hand-lettered motivational quotes about lifelong learning. The board is mounted on a pale, uncluttered wall, with a small trailing ivy plant on a floating shelf nearby. Soft overcast daylight streams in from a nearby window, diffusing the scene and casting faint, soothing shadows. The image carries an uplifting, encouraging mood, composed at eye level with the board centered in the frame. The style is clean, modern, and inviting to reflect the spirit of adult education and personal growth.
